VAS V12

VAS Unique Design Feature:

Both Drivelinethroughput (vehicle in motion) and PTO Aux. Applications cannot be engaged(operated) at the same time. Either the vehicle shall run on the road(Driveline) or in a stationary position the PTO Auxiliary Outputs can beengaged. This VAS Unique feature eliminates the possibility of an auxiliaryapplication accident while vehicle is in motion. If Both Driveline and PTO Aux.applications are required (to be operated) simultaneously, kindly refer to our300 & 360 series gearboxes which have both driveline & PTO Aux.simultaneous options.

After engaging ordisengaging shifters, constant pneumatic air pressure is not required in VASGearboxes as a separate ball spring assembly is installed in the shifterassembly to LOCK the shifter shafts after shifting. Pneumatic air pressure isonly required to shift (engage or disengage) the shifter shafts, aftershifting, pneumatic air pressure can be removed.

Precision Engineering for Industrial Automation

The VAS V12 is meticulously engineered for seamless integration into industrial automation systems. Its hardened helical gear profile and right-handed gearing arrangement ensure smooth power transmission and reduced vibration, delivering optimal performance for demanding automation tasks. The oil-immersed lubrication extends its operational lifespan while minimizing maintenance needs.

Versatile and Durable Construction

Constructed with high-grade cast iron and protected by an IP55 rating, the VAS V12 withstands harsh industrial environments, including exposure to dust, moisture, and fluctuating temperatures. Its solid 65 kg build and foot-mounted design allow for stable and straightforward installation in a variety of settings, making it a reliable choice for diverse industrial processes.

FAQ's of VAS V12:

Q: How is the VAS V12 gear unit installed within an industrial automation setup?

A: The VAS V12 is designed for foot mounting, making installation straightforward on solid surfaces in automation systems. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure secure positioning and alignment for optimal performance and longevity.

Q: What are the benefits of oil-immersed lubrication in the VAS V12?

A: Oil-immersed lubrication ensures continuous, even distribution of lubricant across the gears. This minimizes wear, reduces maintenance intervals, and enhances the overall efficiency and lifespan of the gearbox.

Q: When should the oil in the VAS V12's lubrication system be checked or replaced?

A: It is recommended to check the oil level and condition periodically, typically every 2,000-3,000 operating hours, or as advised in the user manual. Regular replacement supports optimal performance and reliability.

Q: Where can the VAS V12 be used effectively?

A: The VAS V12 is suitable for a range of industrial automation applications, particularly in environments requiring robust torque and efficiency, such as conveyors, material handling systems, and manufacturing lines.

Q: What is the process behind the gear tooth hardening and why is it important?

A: Gear tooth hardening involves heat treatment to increase surface strength, resulting in higher wear resistance and improved load-carrying capacity. This process is crucial for the VAS V12 to handle high torque and deliver long service life.

Q: How does the VAS V12 ensure low noise levels during operation?

A: The helical gear design and precision machining contribute to smooth engagement between gear teeth, significantly reducing noise emissions to below 70 dB and enhancing the working environment.

Q: What are the primary advantages of choosing the VAS V12 for industrial automation?

A: Key benefits include high efficiency (94%), strong output torque (250 Nm), low operational noise, excellent protection (IP55), and reliable performance across a wide temperature range, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
