VAS HT24

VAS Unique Design Feature:

Both Drivelinethroughput (vehicle in motion) and PTO Aux. Applications cannot be engaged (operated)at the same time. Either the vehicle shall run on the road (Driveline) or in astationary position the PTO Auxiliary Outputs can be engaged. This VAS Uniquefeature eliminates the possibility of an auxiliary application accident whilevehicle is in motion. If Both Driveline and PTO Aux. applications are required(to be operated) simultaneously, kindly refer to our 300 & 360 seriesgearboxes which have both driveline & PTO Aux. simultaneous options.

After engaging ordisengaging shifters, constant pneumatic air pressure is not required in VASGearboxes as a separate ball spring assembly is installed in the shifterassembly to LOCK the shifter shafts after shifting. Pneumatic air pressure isonly required to shift (engage or disengage) the shifter shafts, aftershifting, pneumatic air pressure can be removed.

Versatile Mounting and Application

The VAS HT24 gearbox provides flexible installation options with both horizontal and vertical mounting positions, making it ideal for a wide range of industrial automation and material handling systems. Its rugged design helps ensure reliable operation in demanding conditions.

Durable Construction and Performance

Built with high-grade cast iron housing and alloy steel internals that are hardened and ground, the VAS HT24 is engineered for longevity and excellent wear resistance. Its helical gear tooth profile and planetary arrangement enhance power transmission while maintaining low noise levels and high efficiency.

Robust Protection and Maintenance

The VAS HT24 features an IP55 protection class, ensuring safety against dust and water ingress. With both splash and forced lubrication options and a corrosion-resistant paint finish, the gearbox is easy to maintain and suitable for harsh industrial environments.

FAQ's of VAS HT24:

Q: How does the VAS HT24 gearbox enhance efficiency in industrial automation?

A: With a helical gear tooth profile and a planetary gearing arrangement, the VAS HT24 achieves an efficiency greater than 90%. This leads to minimal energy loss and consistently high output, which is crucial for automated processes requiring reliability and performance.

Q: What are the recommended applications for the VAS HT24 planetary gearbox?

A: The VAS HT24 is specifically engineered for industrial automation and material handling applications. Its heavy-duty build and robust torque output make it ideal for use in conveyors, automated machinery, and other high-load tasks in manufacturing environments.

Q: When should the splash lubrication method be switched to forced lubrication?

A: Splash lubrication is suitable for moderate duty cycles and lower speeds, while forced lubrication is recommended for prolonged operation, higher input speeds, or when the gearbox is under heavy load. This switch helps maintain optimal performance and gear longevity.

Q: Where can I install the VAS HT24 in my facility?

A: Thanks to its flexible mounting design, the VAS HT24 can be installed in either horizontal or vertical positions. This makes it adaptable to various layout requirements within industrial plants or material handling setups.

Q: What maintenance processes are recommended for the VAS HT24 gearbox?

A: Routine inspection of oil levels (for splash lubrication) or monitoring the lubrication pump (in the forced system) is advised. Regular checks for wear, cleaning of cooling fins, and ensuring the corrosion-resistant coating remains intact will further ensure long-term reliability.

Q: How does the IP55 protection rating benefit the gearbox during operation?

A: The IP55 rating shields the VAS HT24 from dust and water jets, making it suitable for dusty or slightly wet industrial environments. This protection enhances durability and reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns due to environmental exposure.

Q: What are the advantages of the hardened and ground processing of the VAS HT24's gears?

A: Hardened and ground gears provide superior strength, durability, and precision meshing. This results in lower operational noise levels, reduced wear, extended service life, and better power transmission efficiency within the gearbox.
